Cookie Sale Songs

Here are some cookie sale songs I've picked up from my Girl Scout friends across the country. If you have others and would like to share, e-mail me and I'll post them for everyone. Enjoy!

"Girl Scout Cookies"

[Tune: Macarena -- complete with dance motions! ]

Buy some Girl Scout cookies
They are sooooo yummy
You can eat 'em all day
Ooooohhhh, Girl Scout cookies!!

Girl Scout cookies
Three dollars a box
They're so yummy
Buuuuyyyy lots!!

[Source: Dreamt up by (literally!) Rachel in Troop 343 from Scottsdale, AZ]

"Yum Yum Yum"

[Tune: Are you sleeping?]

Girl Scout Cookies, Girl Scout Cookies,
Yum, Yum, Yum, Yum, Yum, Yum
Eat 'em by the dozen, Eat 'em by the dozen
They're all gone, They're all gone.

"Cookie Street"

[Tune: Pop Goes The Weasel]

Up and down the neighborhood streets
Girl Scouts sell their cookies
Ringing doorbells, asking you please
Please buy some cookies!

Do-Si Dos and Tag-alongs too,
Thin mints are our favorite
Get a box, you'll never be blue
Buy two and save it.

Eat 'em now, or eat 'em then
You really can't go wrong
Hope you enjoyed our little tune
That's the end of our song.

[First verse: unknown, verses 2 & 3: Ashley and her mom, Troop 1639, Peoria]

"Girl Scout Cookies"

[Tune: Oh Susannah]

Oh we come from Buffalo & Erie
Girl Scout cookies for to sell.
We see every Sue & Sally
Our good message for to tell.
Girl Scout Cookies!
Boy they are so neat!
So many kinds, So good to taste
Hard to know which one to eat.

"The Cookie Song"

[tune: This is the Song That Never Ends..]

The cookie song that never ends
We're selling cookies here my friends
And if you buy a box of them, or maybe even two,
We'll stop singing long enough for you and you and you

To get yourselves right out the door
After you're gone we'll sing some more.
We'll sell you extra cookies if you want to come right back.
And you can have them later for a little bitty snack.

Samoas, Snaps, and Thin Mints, too,
We've got them all right here for you.
We want to thank you very much for every little thing.
And while we sell our cookies we will sing and sing and sing

The cookie song that never ends
We're selling cookies here my friends.....

(repeat, and repeat, and repeat..... :)

"C is For Cookie"

[From Sesame Street]

Now what starts with the letter C?
Cookie starts with C
Let's think of other things
That starts with C
Oh, who cares about the other things?

C is for cookie, that's good enough for me
C is for cookie, that's good enough for me
C is for cookie, that's good enough for me
Oh, cookie, cookie, cookie starts with C

C is for cookie, that's good enough for me
C is for cookie, that's good enough for me
C is for cookie, that's good enough for me
Oh, cookie, cookie, cookie starts with C

Hey you know what?
A round cookie with one bite out of it
Looks like a C
A round donut with one bite out of it
Also looks like a C
But it is not as good as a cookie
Oh and the moon sometimes looks like a C
But you can't eat that, so...

C is for cookie, that's good enough for me, yeah!
C is for cookie, that's good enough for me
C is for cookie, that's good enough for me
Oh, cookie, cookie, cookie starts with C, yeah!
Cookie, cookie, cookie starts with C, oh boy!
Cookie, cookie, cookie starts with C!

"Hey Food Hey Jude"

[Sesame Street]

Voice over: And now, here to sing and eat for you are those four
fabulous bugs, The Beetles, and Cookie Monster!

Cookie: Hey food me in the mood
For fish, meat or cheese called cheddar
Me eat them all before me am done
'Cause not know which one
That me like better

Beetles: Hey food when we feel bad
We chew on a piece of bread or
Some veggies or a raspberry tart
And then we start to feel much better

So eat it up and drink it down
Hey food we've found
That you are so healthful and nutritious
By the ounce or by the pound
Glad you're around

Cookie: 'Cause me so hungry
And you delicious!

All: Yum yum yum yum, yum yum yum yum!

Beetles: Hey food can't put you down
If you're dry toast or something wetter
Whenever we take you off of a plate
We feel so great

Cookie: And me feel better, better, better, better

All: Better, better, better, oooooooo!

"Cookie Sale Song"

[Tune: Battle Hymn of the Republic: 1861]

-----GIRLS VERSION-----
We're selling Girl Scout cookies,
Yes, it's Girl Scout Cookie time!
"Would you like to buy some?"
Is our cookie selling line.
We've got lots to choose from,
Don't you see your favorite kind?
We thank you very much!

Glory, glory we are Girl Scouts!
Smiling, cookie selling Girl Scouts!
Please buy cookies, you can help us.
We can't eat them all ourselves!

-----ADULT VERSION-----
We teach our girls business skills,
Drill math into their brain.
We sit cookie booths in sunshine,
Wind, and heat and rain.
We smile until our lips are numb
For great financial gain,
But we still have cookies left.

Glory, glory I'm a leader
A grinning cookie chomping leader
All I ate was 40 boxes
And I still have cookies left.

"Cookie Song"

[Tune: On My Honor]

CHORUS:
On my honor I will try
To sell Girl Scout cookies all day and night
We'll sell our cookies until they are gone.
'Cause there's many more where they come from.

People don't need to know my name
They'll buy my cookies just the same
For three dollars a box, they get quite a treat
When they open their box to eat. CHORUS

I've tucked away a box or two,
If you buy our cookies you'll have some too.
If you need Samoas then we have some,
And there's plenty more where they came from. CHORUS

We sell our cookies at the grocery store,
And we even go door to door.
Our Thin Mints, they are really great
So freeze them now before it's too late. CHORUS

We've set a goal that we plan to keep,
To sell fifty boxes before we fall asleep
So buy several boxes so when we're gone,
You can still be munching and singing this song. CHORUS

With our profits we have lots of fun.
We sell and sell nearly a ton.
We're going camping, and horse riding too,
And we even get to sleep at the zoo. CHORUS

Our cookie sale lasts only two weeks.
But we have lots of fun with the people we meet.
So buy our cookies before we go.
Cause we won't be back for a year or so. CHORUS

"Sarasponda Oreo"

[Tune: Sarasponda]

Group 1:
Boom-da, boom-da, boom-da, *
Boom-da, boom-da, boom-da, boom-da,
boom-da, boom-da, boom-da, boom-da,
Boom-da, boom-da, boom-da, boom-da,
boom-da, boom-da, boom-da, boom-da,

Group 2:
Share a cookie, share a cookie, share a cookie, yum-yum-yum.
Share a cookie, share a cookie, share a cookie, yum-yum-yum.

All:
An Oreo, a chocolate Oreo,
I love that creamy filling in a chocolate Oreo!

"Cookie Mommy"

[Tune: Rubber Duckie]

Cookie Mommy, you're the one
Who counts the boxes, one by one
Cookie Mommy, we're awfully proud of you
Do, Do-si-do [long "o" sounds on "do")

We sell cookies for the scouts,
But you're the reason it all works out
Cookie Mommy, it's all because of you
Do, Do-si-do

Every Box we sell
Makes a little bit of money
To pay for
All the projects and
Buy the snacks for our tummies, Mommy!

Cookie Mommy, you get the work done
You make selling lots of fun
Cookie Mommy, we o-o-owe it all to you!

This one's funny, but perhaps not the best for singing in public...

"There Are Cookies In My Den"

[tune: "Suitors" from Brazil]

There are cookies in my den
O le le O Ba-hi-a
6 or 8 or even 10
O le le O Ba-hi-a
And my husband wants them out
O le le O Ba-hi-a
Or at least that's what he shouts.
O le le O Ba-hi-a
CHORUS

And I told him that I will
O le le O Ba-hi-a
When the people get their fill
O le le O Ba-hi-a
I don't think he understands
O le le O Ba-hi-a
When he makes such demands.
O le le O Ba-hi-a
CHORUS

So now they are out
O le le O Ba-hi-a
But I think he has his doubts
O le le O Ba-hi-a
When my Girl Scouts all run in
O le le O Ba-hi-a
And say they'd like to sell again! O le le O Ba-hi-a
CHORUS

"Marching Song"

[tune: ???]

[Chorus:]
Leader: Sound off!     Group: Girl Scout!
Leader: Sound off!     Group: Cookies!
All: Buy some Girl Scout
All: Cookies! (all)

[leader sings first, then group echoes each line] Girl Scout cookies they're so great
Buy some now before it's too late.
4 bucks a box, well that's just fine
Get yours now, don't get left behind.

[Chorus]

We've got Thin Mints, they are divine.
Samoas, Tagalogs are favorites of mine.
Tasty, crunchy, oh so sweet,
Girl Scout cookies are such a treat!

[Chorus]

They make great snacks, oh yes they do.
Eating them is what we like to do.
Buy some for your mom and dad.
Do it today, they'll be so glad!
